CONTEXT

Our client is a French group operating in the metallurgy sector. As part of a merger of several entities, the group is using the services of an Interim Manager to rethink the organization of its supply chain.

By manufacturing its products on demand, this manufacturer places the supply chain at the heart of its organization. This just-in-time approach, combined with industrial sites spread across three continents and eight countries, has motivated the company to optimize its supply chain function.

INTERVENTIONS AND RESULTS

• Visiting the various sites and understanding the specific requirements of each market and customer expectations
• Conducting an assessment of the supply chain based on the observations and recommendations from external audits
• Ensuring accountability for the function, optimizing it, and preparing it for the transformation associated with the internal merger
• Optimizing and solidifying the function by bringing an external perspective to the company's practices
• Ensuring responsibility for the organization, planning, and optimization of physical and administrative flows
• Organizing and coordinating the various logistics services in each country
• With the support of the Quality, Industrial, and Purchasing departments, coordinating the implementation and management of subcontracting processes
• Organizing the implementation and management of the flow of products and semi-finished products purchased for processing or resale
